Still no further forward

Yes as you may guess by the title still not sure what is happening.  I have been on the phone, I have been e mailing, getting very frustrated.  So I spent this morning running around, getting ink for the printer and doing some food shopping.  Then came home and counted out the pennies from my saving tin....... it was worth saving and will good to have some nice spending money when we eventually get away.  Trotted off to the bank to get that put away in my account, ordered my currency and did some more tidying out of the the boxes around here.  Daniel and I took yet another trip to the tip and recycled bits and pieces as well as free cycling other pieces.  Done our bit for the environment.  Washing is on and there will be a pile of ironing for tomorrow morning but save me from thinking.  Had a battle with the printer which does not want to be wireless anymore so will have to play along with it for now.

Sarah went off to Horsham with friends for a swim and I sent Martin on his way to take her and collect her.  Well it saved him from watching any more television.  Daniel has "attempted" to tidy his room.... note the attempted, it still needs some work.  Tomorrow will be packing day I think, just in case anything has been forgotten so if it has I can do some last minute shopping on Friday.  So for now I think I will head to bed with my book getting up early to start on the ironing and try and will the end to this house sale or at least get to exchange!!!!

Frustrating

Frustration is setting in, we are still waiting for a final moving date, knowing when we can actually exchange contracts.  I await phone calls and when I get them, they don't really tell me anything.  Getting extremely tetchy now about it all, can't confirm the removal van until the date is known.

Daniel spent the day at the US air base at Mildenhall, haven't seen him yet so don't know how it went but I am sure he would have had a good time.  He has gone off to Cadets now so won't see him until later.  Sarah has had a busy day, dentist, driving lessons, boxing bits up in her room.  She has now gone off to athletics and hopefully Martin will pick her up and she can drive home.

We have boxed bits and pieces, we have emptied the attic and taken a few trips to the tip.  All in all we have now got rid of eight car fulls.  Will have to keep at it and get it all sorted.  Need to do some more sorting from boxes and hopefully the frustration will lessen in the next few days.

Need to work on our holiday plans now tomorrow and get things done for our trip to Florida.  Another day lets hope things get moving on the house front.

What a long time it has been OOPs

I meant to catch up with my blog so many times but life just got in the way.  Well here we go let's try again and see what happens.  A lot has happened in the last few months and in a few days we will be off again on holiday to sunny Florida, so looking forward to it.  However before we go we have to pack up the house along
with our suitcases as we are moving house, sometime after we arrive home.  I say sometime after we arrive home as we are not sure exactly when, you see we are waiting to confirm the date.  We have been told it could be the end of August but we are still waiting to see.  Watch this space!  This was the view from the living room earlier today before we visited the tip for the 5th time.  It is lessening but I can see that this is what we will be doing for the rest of the week.

Sarah of course found some old toys and just had to have a play with them, as you do! You know when you discover something you haven't seen for years.

Yesterday we had a bit of an emergency with Sooty having to be rushed to the vet because of fly strike.  Thankfully she is okay although she is a very expensive bunny as she is an aged lady.  Sarah then followed us over with Martin to the athletics meeting at Erith where she had missed her long jump but managed her javelin and triple jump.  Daniel had a productive day with long and triple jump, 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m relays.  Both did really well and worked well with their team members.  This will be the last meeting of the season for them as we will be on holiday when the next meeting comes around.

I am sure there will be some other competitions that they can take part in before next season.

Tomorrow is another day and another trip to the tip I am sure.  Daniel won't be around to help as he is off to Mildenhall , the US air base, with the cadets.  He has been an absolute star today, going to the tip with me and dumping all that rubbish. Sarah has a dental appointment and I suppose I had better go and change some money ready for our hols.
