Off to Toy Story Mania

Once again awakening to cloudless blue skies, well if the truth be known I was wide awake before I could even see the cloudless blue skies but what's new?

Now with the new Fast Pass system in place we didn't have any fast passes for this morning as we had kept them for later at Epcot.  Sarah had course had taken advantage in the "glitch" in the Disney system and had managed to book three tier one rides for the same evening.  So knowing if we wanted to ride Toy Story Mania we would have to do the standby queue we headed off to the park early.  No mean feat getting Daniel out of bed but have to say he was ready by the allotted time.  We were soon crossing over on to Disney property with a slight detour thanks to the Sat Nav taking us to the entrance for cast members.  Oops.  Martin relies totally on his Sat Nav despite huge signs all around for directions.
However we arrived safe and sound and all before the park opened at 9.  We hot footed it all the way to Toy Story Mania which at that time had a 50 minute wait.  Saying that the theming inside the ride is very good with plenty to keep people occupied.  I even like just looking around on the outside to see what is new and taking some photos.  Easy to keep me entertained with my camera.

Daniel was still attached to his phone not sure what he was doing but knowing him was talking to Maria back at home as this is what he seems to do to stop him from getting bored in the queues.  Sarah is just happy to take everything on board.

Daniel was happy that once again he got a high score on Toy Story - amazing how the men folk get so competitive on this ride.

Outside once again in the sunshine, we headed for our next ride.  We were going to do Star Tours and see what story we got this time, followed by Muppets 3D movie and then a stop for a late brekkie/snack or whatever you want to call it at Writers Stop.  Sarah had her carrot cake cookie and Daniel and I both had a cinnamon bun all washed down with a slushie.  No photos here I am afraid, all consumed sitting outside enjoying a five minute break.  We noticed as we were walking around that the lights are already going up for the Christmas decorations especially around the back of the studios.

I am sure they will look pretty spectacular when they are all in place and lit up.  Time to head off next to the Great Movie Ride.  A very tame ride here for a bit of time to relax  and enjoy the stories of Hollywood. Once ridden we had decided to once again try our hand at animation and do the drawing class.  I love these classes as they are very quick and take you through the drawing of the characters step by step.  Today we were drawing "Olaf" from Frozen.

These are our efforts from our class today.  I even think they look like the character. Next trick is to get them back home without getting creased........ and getting them into frames for the wall at home!

We decided that as we were going to be going back to Epcot this evening we needed to have a bit of chillax at home, perhaps a swim so we ventured back down the 192 for a little break.

Some of us even found time for a little siesta!

Whilst others amongst us decided to make use of the pool.

After a couple of hours at home we were off again to capture the magic of Epcot and visit the Food and Wine Festival as well as riding Test Track, Soarin' and Mission Space.  We seemed to get there without any trouble this time - we didn't listen to the Sat Nav we listened to Sarah and myself who were reading the road signs and arrived and parked within about 20 mins rather than take a detour elsewhere.

This was Sarah's design for the evening.

Perhaps one day!
