A bit of a swim followed by fireworks

A nice relaxing day was on the cards today, we need some time to recharge the batteries and just relax.  Okay wasn't going to totally happen but it was fun.

We didn't rush this morning and arrived at Typhoon Lagoon about 10ish, time to find a sunbed or at least a chair and then just chillax.  It felt really hot already but soon enough after gathering supplies, got our Disney refillable drink mugs and settled down.  Well I say settled down but I don't really mean that.... Sarah and Daniel were off to find the slides.  They were gone for about half an hour or so as the queues for the rides were not too bad at all.  We spent the day in and out of the wave pool as the big wave is continuous throughout the day unless they have to get in there to rescue someone.

Sarah, Daniel and Martin were in this one.

We all attempted the lazy river, now this was lazy and sometimes very crowded so we went around at a very leisurely pace.  It was a good place to relax for a few minutes and saved burning your feet walking around the path on the hot ground and if you had all the time in the world to get from A to B and back to A.

I was then persuaded by my dear daughter to have a go on the slides with them, interesting to say the least but great fun, even if there were a few screams on the way down.  I did enjoy it though and went back later in the day.
No foodie pictures today as um 1. I forgot to take my camera when we ate and 2. we ate it!  Daniel and I had shrimp and Sarah had the fish.  Martin again had a drink of coke as "he doesn't do lunch".
The afternoon was much the same as the morning, relaxing, wave pool, lazy river and chatting.  A lovely day out.  We left about 4 ish as we had plans for the evening, needed to get out of the sun for a while and shower.

A perfectly lovely day and not over yet.
Hot footing it back to the villa, well hot driving it back actually, don't see that many people on foot out on the streets!  We showered and sat around for all of an hour before Sarah had us on our feet and ready to move again.

Soon we were approaching Disney for our second round of the day and settled into Hollywood Studios.

Tonight we had planned to get to Hollywood Studios for "Fantasmic".  We also thought we might do some of the other rides there again, Star Tours is always a favourite and of course, if at all possible we would try to get onto Toy Story Mania, ha ha ha!  It was showing a wait time of 105 minutes when we stood outside and thinking that we did not want to waste time we left it for now.

We persevered and when we came off Star Tours it told us we would have about an hours wait, well we thought we need to wait for Fantasmic at 10.30 so we might as well waste some time in the air conditioning as it was still very very warm out there.   Umm they may have got the timing somewhat wrong as from start to the finish of the ride it took.....................................19 minutes.
So we went and rode it again and only stopped because our arms ached after that!
Now the photos I have taken of fantasmic are a little blurry as had no flash on and didn't use a tripod but they are good enough to see the characters and good old Mickey Mouse.

It was a lovely show and very enjoyable with the fireworks at the end.  By the time we left the park it was after 11 and by 11.30 we were home and I was tucked up in bed with my book.  Hence the lazy start for the next morning!
