The Last Full day

Yes we had finally got to it, the last full day of this holiday.  We cannot grumble we have had a lovely time and we have to just enjoy the last day here.  Reality will be calling and the next chapter begins soon enough as we will be moving house when we return home.....................hmmmm no wonder I haven't slept past 5am here recently, my head is doing a run through of check lists!!

Anyway I have gone from the theme - still on holiday.  Our park of choice was Epcot today as it would have extra magic hours on the morning we left so we couldn't do that.  Looking in the fridge I could see the bacon, egg and tomatoes still lurking there so decided that this morning would be the one to clear them out and cook breakfast for the troops.  So the children were awoken to the smell of bacon and eggs at 7.25, Sarah complained it wasn't even 7.30 when I woke her.  Why did I ever teach her to tell the time?

We were under starters orders and left the house on our agreed goal of 8.30. Phew, no whinging on lateness today then.  We had an agreed plan of attack...... Sarah would go and get fast passes for Soarin' and we wander across to Test Track.....again.  The queue for test track was ........long.  Martin was getting jittery and was in the do we, don't we wait mode.  He lost, we won!  You would think he would know by know wouldn't you?  Three weeks and still he doesn't know what ride is where, wait times or anything that he needs to know.  Test track fast passes were already on 12.00, the queue time said 45 mins and we were nearly at the building entrance.  Sarah duly arrived back and slotted into the queue.  We have seen this happen so many times during our holiday when people are "just finding their husband, wife, aunt, uncle, cousin six times removed".  We thought it is our turn now.

Sarah's design of the day

I think it is fair to say that we all love the car design facility at Test track now as it takes away from the waiting time and you can see how your vehicle performs in various tests.  Sarah was very proud of herself coming first in the capability test......although what this really means.....no one knows!
Well that was good fun, now where?

Today seemed really hot and our foot steps were heavy.  Am just wondering if we were tired now and perhaps nearly ready to go home and recover.  Anyone on we plodded into Star Tours.  Martin and Sarah went the orange route, Daniel and I took the green.  Sarah came back to say that the man sitting next to her looked decidedly ill when he came off as did his wife and the Cast Member was greeted with "Get me out of here" by another person.  One capsule had to be attended by a paramedic.................... hmmm, glad I rode the green route.

Daniel and I had an extra play in advanced training before the wanderers returned.  All good fun and we were on the winning team both times.....go team Triton!
Next stop was over to the land for Soarin' via the water

fountains. Love the feeling of coolness that these give and the sound of the water.

We had decided that we would have an early lunch whenever we arrived in Japan.  Last time we had visited we had failed to get all the way around the World Showcase and this time we were determined.  I am fine as I love taking photographs but the rest of the tribe could only see a longish walk ahead of them......  so off we set after our trip to California on Soarin'.

First we stopped off in England via Canada.

Sarah did wonder why the England shop was selling just football shirts and Guiness shirts.

Then we walked across the "channel" into France.

We had eaten here a few nights ago and enjoyed the meal in the Chef de France.
Morocco was next on our journey - this was a whistle stop tour on the way to Japan.

Finally we arrived in the land of the rising sun - or the constant heat today!

It was time for lunch and today's choice was teriyaki chicken or beef or for one of the party - no guesses who- both.  Very good it was too.

We stayed for a while simply to just cool down from the heat out there and off we went for a wander into the shop.  Best way to cool down, go to any shop you can into the air conditioning.

She wears them so well.

We had a quick look in the USA but stopped again in Italy although it really could do with a nice ice cream shop rather than just a kiosk.

Past the German gardens with the model train.

And into yet another shop.  You can see the general thought processes here.

Modelling her tiara today.
Finally we walked back around to China and admitted defeat as we were all exhausted and just wanted to come home and have a nice swim and relax.

Arriving home that is just what we did and then realised that the suitcases will not pack themselves and had to have a whizz around collecting all our bits and bobs ready for tomorrow.
Amazing what you find as you gather everything together.
We had an evening planned at Hollywood Studios, you see we just had to do Toy Story Mania once or twice in the evening as we know we will only get one ride on it tomorrow.  Again we did Star Wars and even saw Darth Vadar for a minute or two.

We were even given some free fast pass tickets for Sarah and Daniel to ride on Rock ,n Roll rollerocaster as one family were leaving the park.  They enjoyed using them.

Soon enough the day came to an end.  Sat Nav set and we were on our way home.....Sat nav ignored and no we weren't.  Not sure what Martin was doing but he failed to follow the instructions three times and three times we had to take a new route home.  Interesting.  I blame Daniel's chatter as he did not stop all the way home!!  However soon enough we arrived and it was straight to bed.
