A satellite launch at Kennedy Space Centre

A lovely day was had at the Kennedy Space Centre.  We hadn't planned visiting just yet, this is the day our especially for Martin and Daniel as they both love all things space!  However we checked the launch schedule and there was to be a launch of the Delta Communications Satellite that night so we couldn't resist going along and seeing this as well as visiting the new exhibit of the shuttle Atlantis.

We did this two years ago but there are new exhibits, among them the Atlantis exhibition.  What a sight that was and I love how they revealed the shuttle to the visitors, watching a film and then all of a sudden the curtain rolls up and there she is displayed in all her glory.  Brilliant sight.  The films were great to watch as they weren't just plain documentaries but some films as well about the development of the shuttle as well.  It was a stunning display and one which we all enjoyed.

Right off out we go again, will be back to finish this post off.  Rush, rush, rush.  Just managed to link our video on here as well, which is good to keep.
